Here's a look at the latest batch of updates on the site this time around...
We can tell from the numbers on our social media posts that we, the webmasters, are far more interested in Bill's syndicated radio segments than you. This was a big month for us. We finally obtained 15 installments of a series we didn't have before. People on the Go was a daily two-minute celebrity profile narrated by Bill and sponsored by Nestea. The show changed formats during its run, becoming People Who are Different and profiling lesser-known people with unusual stories.
20 episodes would be recorded onto an LP-length record and mailed out to radio stations--enough to cover one month of broadcasts with normal use. What makes the People on the Go record we acquired particularly unusual is that the show changes formats in mid-record! Side A is labeled People on the Go. Side B is labeled People Who are Different. And the episode guide that the production company provided with the record explains to the radio station that the show is changing formats, so it's 15 episodes of Go and 5 episodes of Different. We've uploaded the last three episodes of People on the Go on our Syndicated Radio page.
Over in Photos, we've uploaded the last few slides from Bill and Ann's 1963 visit to La Jolla.
Buzzr has surprised us recently by unearthing some never-rerun episodes of I've Got a Secret on their YouTube channel. Educated guess is that these episodes have never been rerun due to the incredibly prominent (and as you'll see, hard-to-forget) product placement for the show's sponsor at the time, Cavalier cigarettes.
Speaking of which, co-webmaster Matt has been hard at work researching and updating the I've Got a Secret Website.
Finally, we've added a dedicated page for Strictly Confidential, an unsold 1980 pilot featuring Bill as a celebrity guest.
